2023 FIBA U16 WOMEN’S ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP | GOLD MEDALISTS 🏆

A huge congratulations to Ruby Perkins, Zoe Jackson, Tom Garlepp (Head Coach) and the Australian Sapphires on winning Gold at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women’s Asian Championship.

Australia defeated Japan, 80-74 to claim the title, coming back from a four-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to become the only team in competition history to win the gold medal three times in a row.

Ruby Perkins had an outstanding tournament and was named in the All-Star Five, dropping 25 in her best game to lead the Sapphires to the semi-finals. Ruby was also voted MVP of the tournament in the Fan Vote.

Congratulations to Azi Afualo for representing Samoa and placing 7th in the tournament.
