officials - overview.

OVERVIEW

The Norths Officiating Program is one of the most progressive and innovative in Australian basketball, with our referees officiating in more than 10,500 games in the local competition each year. Norths has a strong commitment to the provision of quality officials for all games played and invests significantly in the ongoing education and development of all officials we have actively involved in the association.

Officials Department

Our NSBA Referee Program Staff includes Officials Program Manager Logan Bilby and Officials Administrator Jake Jennings. Logan is responsible for overseeing the program, ensuring equal opportunities and development for all officials. Working with the Norths Officials Education Team, he focuses on providing regular education through referee coaching, online modules (via Referee College of Australia), courses, and social events. Jake handles domestic competition rostering, approves referee payments, assists with referee inquiries, and manages other administrative tasks essential for the program’s operation.
