BEARS STARS SHINE FOR HOOPS CAPITAL

We are thrilled to announce that seven exceptional athletes and coaches from Norths Bears will proudly represent Hoops Capital teams, the Sydney Flames and the Sydney Kings, in the 2023-2024 WNBL & NBL Season.

Congratulations to the 2023 Norths Bears NBL1 East Women and the 2023 Waratah Youth League Women's Champions, Carla Pitman and Caitlyn Martin, as well as the accomplished 2023 NBL1 East Women's Championship Head Coach, Renae Garlepp, on their signings with the Sydney Flames for #WNBL24.

Carla and Caitlyn, recently named Development Players, played pivotal roles in the Bears Senior Women's Program's success in 2023, and they were instrumental in capturing Gold with NSW at the 2023 U20 National Championships.

Joining them will be Norths' championship-winning 2023 NBL1 East Women’s Head Coach, Renae Garlepp, who will serve as an Assistant Coach for the Flames. Additionally, we are excited to share that Norths Bears U14 Black Head Coach and 2023 NSW Metro U16 Bronze Medal-winning Assistant Coach, Liam Cavanagh-Downs, will be the Flames' Intern Coach.

Norths junior sensation, Jordan Hunter, recently celebrated his 100th game with the Sydney Kings and is on a quest for a three-peat in #NBL24. Standing tall beside him is Norths Bears Youth League Men’s Coach Angus Henksens, who is the Video Coordinator for the Kings, and Norths NBL1 Men's Head Coach Angus Bourke, who has assumed the role of Intern Coach for the Kings.

Exciting times ahead as we watch our Norths Bears stars shine on the grand stage for Hoops Capital!
