NBL1 NATIONAL FINALS | RUNNERS-UP
Congratulations to the 2023 Coles Express NBL1 East Women’s Champions @bingleeofficial Norths Bears on an inspiring NBL1 National Finals tournament in Perth, WA where the team finished their remarkable season as National Runners-Up.
Norths took down NBL1 North Conference Champions Northside Wizards and NBL1 Central Conference Champions Norwood Flames to book themselves a spot in the 2023 NBL1 National Grand Final against undefeated NBL1 South Conference Champions the Bendigo Braves.
Norths fought the entire game, but the Braves were too strong on the day taking down our mighty Bears 114-87. It was great to witness North’s depth and talent on full display with multiple players having impact performances to get the Bears into the grand final game.
A massive shout out to Jolene Anderson for being named in the NBL1 Women's All-Star Five after an outstanding tournament and also to Brad Mattioli for his selection as a referee for the Women’s Grand Final.
Well done to all the players, coaches, managers, physiotherapy/performance team, and staff on a spectacular season and thank you to our Principal NBL1 partner Bing Lee!
